Other Facilities

Ration Card Portability:

The system of ration card portability has been started in Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Barabanki, and Gorakhpur districts. With this arrangement, the residents of the district can take ration from any ration shop in the urban areas. This scheme has been started in only 5 districts and gradually it will be started in the whole of Uttar Pradesh.

FPS Automation:

Citizens are given e-Pass through the FPS automation system through which citizens can purchase food items at reasonable rates from ration shops in urban and rural areas. Authentication of citizens is done through Aadhar cards at these shops and all translations are done online which we can also check on the website of the Food Logistics Department, Uttar Pradesh. In this way, due to the entire process being online, a lot of subsidies are saved and the scope of any kind of fraud is greatly reduced.

Proper Supply Chain Arrangement:

A proper supply chain system has been prescribed for the food items provided by the Food Logistics Department, which has been fully digitized. Due to the complete supply chain system being online, the food items reach the ration shops at the right time from the Food Corporation of India depots and the citizens get the food items on time.

Arrangement for delivery of food items to the accommodation:

If a family is not able to go to the ration shop to get food items, then arrangements have been made to give them food items at their residence itself. About 17000 families in Uttar Pradesh are taking advantage of this system.

If you don’t have a Ration Card then you must apply for a Ration Card to get all the benefits.
