Sign Up by using an activation code:

If patients have an activation code then the Sign-Up process is very easy and takes a few minutes to activate the MyChart account.

If you have an appointment with MUSC Health or just visited the MUSC hospital then you will receive the activation code through your after-visit summary.

An activation code may be sent via email also. Please check the further process mentioned below3.

Step 1: Visit the official MyChart login page and click the Create Your Account link located on the login screen.

Step 2: On the next screen, you will find an account activation form by using the activation code (as shown below).

Step 4: On the next screen, patients can create a Username and Password which will help them access their account every time they want to log in.

If you don’t receive an invitation code then the registration process may take longer duration than usual if the information you enter in the online form differs from the information available with the MUSC Health records.

MUSC MyChart Bill Payment

There are different ways to pay your bill10. Please check below.

i-Payment through MUSH Mychart account:

Once you logged in to the MyChart account then you can pay your medical bill online. After signing in patients can use the insurance details also available with MUSC Health.

Patients can get an estimated idea about the total bill amount they will have to pay by visiting the MUSC Mychart Bill Estimation tool. Please note that this will show the estimated amount but the actual bill amount may be different due to many factors.

ii-Guest payment:

A Guest payment facility is also available and anyone can use this facility to pay the Patient’s bill. Patients can access the MUSC Mychart Guest Payment web page and make online payments.

Now enter the account number and guarantor’s last name in this form and click the Look Up button to verify the account details. Once verified, you can pay the required bill through the different payment modes.

iii-Phone payment: A phone payment facility is also available if you don’t find yourself comfortable using the online portal. Patients can call MUSC’s automated payment service at 844-869-0152 to make a payment.

This service is available 24/7 and patients can pay their medical bills anytime.

iv-Payment through Mail:

Patients can also use the Mail payment facility which is also a convenient option. The only drawback of the Mail payment is that the Mail will take at least 4 to 5 days to reach MUSC.

Update (26th July 2023): On July 22, 2023, Teresa Kelechi, Ph.D. said in an induction ceremony held at the honor society’s annual conference, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, “We now recruit from MyChart and people who are patients in the hospital or ambulatory patients,” said Kelechi. She further added, “However, there are people who do not have an opportunity to engage in research because they’re not in those systems. So my philosophy has always been to get out there in the community and offer people these opportunities.”11

Update: MUSC is taking saliva samples for the research work through Mychart on “In Our DNA SC” sample collection event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, in the College of Charleston’s Stern Student Center lobby. Patients can review more information at web.musc.edu/inourdnasc web page and click the “Sign Up Now via MyChart” button at the top of the webpage to login[12].

Update: MUSC and The Citadel joined to provide advanced medical care for the Corps of Cadets including medical records accessibility through MUSC Mychart. “Some of the many benefits this affiliation provides include integrated health care access for cadets who can use the MUSC digital medical records portal to manage their care, prescriptions and appointments, and will now have 24-hour access to their medical records and appointments as well as continuing to have 24-hour access to medical care,” said The Citadel Vice President for Finance and Business, Charles Cansler[13].

-Click the Schedule an Appointment link under the Patients & Visitors menu item.
