MyUHN Patient Portal (Mychart), online website, and other systems were facing system outage due to an unknown IT issue. All systems and the patient portal are again back online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

University Health Network shared this information on their social media X handle. University Health Network has clarified that it was not a cyber attack event but an ongoing Code Grey network outage. UHN IT staff has already identified the issue and the issue has been resolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UHN shared multiple tweets related to this system outage issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first tweet came on Apr 3, 2024, at 4:56 PM[<\/sup>1<\/a><\/sup>]<\/sup>. UHN said…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please expect appointment or service delays at Toronto General, Toronto Western, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre; and Toronto Rehab due to an unexpected system outage. At this time, it appears the situation is not related to a cyber event. We will provide another update at 9am.<\/p>\nUniversity Health Network<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n

After a few hours, the University Health Network again tweeted and shared that the patient portal, website, and other systems were still experiencing the outage issues[<\/sup>2<\/a><\/sup>][<\/sup>3<\/a><\/sup>][<\/sup>4<\/a><\/sup>]<\/sup>. UHN shared more information about the issue, what causing the system outage, and what services are affected in multiple tweets as mentioned below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UPDATE: UHN continues to experience an ongoing Code Grey network outage across sites. The outage is impacting the UHN website, patient portal + patient record systems. Some patient appointments and procedures are delayed at Toronto General, Toronto Western, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Toronto Rehab. Finally, after 3 more hours, UHN again tweeted and shared that all systems have been restored including the myUHN patient portal and official UHN website. Patients can now again access their accounts and start scheduling their appointments[<\/sup>5<\/a><\/sup>]<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve restored our health information system and all other systems are coming back online. myUHN Patient Portal + http:\/\/uhn.ca<\/a> are back in service. As the IT staff has resolved this issue, patients can log in to the MyUHN patient portal and access all online services.<\/p>\n\n\n
