As we all know, there are multiple benefits programs available for citizens in Tennessee state such as…
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) (Families First)
- Child Care Services
- Child support
- Nutrition Programs, etc.
These benefits programs are administered by the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS). Tennessee DHS is advising people in the state that if they are applying for the benefits programs then they must provide the verification documents. It will help to complete the application process early. Citizens can upload their documents on the One DHS Customer portal. One DHS portal supports multiple platforms and works best on desktops, smartphones, and tablets.

Verification Documents

Verification of citizenship of children:
You may submit…
- U.S. passport
- A certificate of Naturalization (DHS Forms N-550 or N-570)
- cERTIFICATE OF U.S. citizenship (DHS Forms N-560 or N-561)
- A birth certificate
- Hospital, clinic, or doctor records
You may also need to submit other documents as per the application type including Verification of Income, Verification of Child Support, Verification of School/College Attendance/Enrollment, etc.
How can I Submit Documents on One DHS Customer Portal?
Tennessee Department of Human Services also shared a YouTube video[2] in its tweet including the process to submit documents on the One DHS customer portal. Citizens can check out the video to learn more about what type of documents are required and how to upload them online.
Please note you must have One DHS account. If you don’t have then you will have to create a new account.
How to register a One DHS account?
- Visit the One DHS registration page.
- Fill out the registration form.
- Create your account credentials.
One DHS login:
After registering a new account, log in to your account by visiting the One DHS login page. Enter your email address and password to access your account.
Document upload process[3]:
After logging into your account, click the link to upload documents for your benefit application.
- You can upload documents individually or all documents in a single file.
- Select the document type from the drop-down menu and upload the verification document.
- Complete the same process to upload multiple documents.
- If you want to upload all documents in a single file, select the check box “I have uploaded all my verifications” in a single document.
- Once you have uploaded your verification documents, you can check them on the page.
