- Visit the student account activation page at my.laurentian.ca/start.
- An online account activation page will appear on the screen (as shown below).
- Enter the student number that you got through your admission letter.
- Enter your date of birth, first name, and last name.
- Click the Set up myLaurentian Profile button.
- Set up your profile and create your username and password.
After the activation process, students can access their student accounts. Students will also have their Laurentian email addresses after the account activation process.
Please note down your email address and student number as they will remain the same during your study program and you will need both at many places.

Laurentian D2L LMS Login
Laurentian University has partnered with D2L and using its Learning Management System Brightspace to offer online learning services to all students. All students who have successfully activated their Laurentian student account can log in to Desire 2 Learn (D2L) and access their course content.
Students can access their D2L Brightspace account in two ways.
- Through the Laurentian Student Portal – Students can log in to the student account and click the D2L link on their dashboard page. The student will be automatically logged in to their D2l account
- Through Direct Link – Students can visit the D2L portal directly at d2l.laurentian.ca. Students can access their account by entering their Laurentian username and password.
After login, students can access the module or course they have registered for. Students can now take advantage of the D2L online learning and also participate in conversations with other students and professors.
